National Volunteer Week (April 19-25) + Volunteer Opportunity

As we mark National Volunteer Week (April 19-25) we want to take a moment to thank all those who volunteer their time in support of community and restorative justice across the country. It is the collective effort of these volunteers, in communities large and small, that continues to move this work forward.

We are especially grateful for our NACRJ volunteers. They come from across the country (and internationally) and support this organization in ways that are both visible and behind the scenes, helping to create the National Conference, serving on committees like DEIJ and Mini-Grants, and holding space in our online circle gatherings. They show up as planning team members, Circle Keepers, and thought partners.

Below is just a glimpse of the many faces and names who give their time to NACRJ through volunteering. There are many more who contribute, and we are grateful for every single person.

A Current Volunteer Opportunity

Up until 2022, NACRJ as an organization was developed and led by volunteers. While we now have a small staff, volunteers remain at the center of this work. As part of continuing to support our community, we are seeing a need for additional support on the membership and administrative side of our work.

We are looking for a Membership Support Volunteer to join us in a remote role.

This person would help with:

  • Supporting members with accessing their accounts and services
  • Assisting with database entry and general administrative tasks
  • Providing basic support through email when members have questions.

This role helps people feel supported and connected, and it plays an important part in how people experience NACRJ.

Estimated time commitment: Approximately 10 to 20 hours per month.
